Humana's vision for the future of healthcare takes inspiration from the best consumer brands, with an objective to establish a life long relationship with their customers. As the healthcare company focused on well being is pivoting to being consumer focused, Humana is investing in meeting their customers where they and is employing digital to accomplish this.

Essential to realizing a consumer focus, Humana understands that it must deliver superior digital product experiences. To execute on this vision, in 2014 Humana opened the Humana Digital Experience Center (DEC), an incubator for the development of such ideas through Lean + Agile development methods, a diverse tech stack and the Pivotal Cloud Foundry platform. The DEC is equally a vehicle of culture change, a center who teaches others in the organization to work in these methods.

In this session, Antonio Melo and Jason McKee will share more about how they have been able to sharpen Humana's focus on technology and product development as core competencies through the operationalization of non-critical functions to hone in on business value.
